Friends have heard for months about our rage with Verizon Wireless. I’ll spare you the horrid details but lets just say they tried to screw us out of $250 bucks and I was just not having it. We were treated like scum and basically when we fought them on it, they refused to work with us. So we canceled our contract with them and told them to call all they want, we will never do business with them ever again. My best friend had similar problems and apparently the complaints I have heard with other Verizon customers shows this is the norm for them in my opinion.
I have had other bad customer service insidents recently, but today takes the cake.
Last Thursday I went to my school bookstore to pick up my textbooks. It was then I discovered that the bookstore decided to not allow students just go in a pick up their own books, but that they had to hand over our schedule to an employee who would then go pick up our books and then give them to us for purchase. No problem I thought, these are the bookstore employees and they know exactly what to get.
Yea right.
I go into my Web Tech class and discover that I have been given the wrong book. Me and about 3-4 other students. So I now have to go back to the bookstore and get the correct book. I go in and find it straight away. I then proceed to go to the counter to make the exchange. Before I hardly get 3 words out the bookstore manager knows the problem (she states that she found out that morning about the mixup in the books for this class) so I am thinking no problem, she will do the exchange and I am on my way.
Again not that simple, grasshopper.
She asks for my reciept for the wrong book. I don’t have it. Because I didn’t expect to have to do an exchange because YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GIVE ME THE RIGHT BOOK!
All I can think is, you know you gave me the wrong book, you have given others the wrong book and so just take it back and give me the right one. How difficult is that? So now I have to dig up the reciept, which I have no idea where it is. She then says she “might” be able to look up my purchase in the system and refund my money and then let me purchase the correct book. Basically a load of crap that requires me to jump through hoops to correct their mistake.
Yea, customer service sucks.
