But somehow we are managing.
Nathan is on a stronger antibiotic and ointment to treat the infection that developed on his numerous bug bites. Poor kid is just like me and his dad, if a bug is within 10 miles of any of us, we become the buffet. So he got bitten up pretty good. We are on daily treatments of a good soapy shower, followed by cleaning the bites with peroxide.
Let me go ahead and tell you right now, if you have never applied peroxide to the legs of a 7 year old, be warned. Wear ear plugs. Just trust me on this one. Apparently it stings or something.
That is followed by applying antibotic ointment and voila, treated child. Repeat EVERYSINGLEDAY, until your kids legs no longer look like he has been ran over by a lawn mower.
Oh don’t forget the oral medications that thankfully your fabulous, wonderful, lovely child will just love taking every morning and night. Seriously, he is a good kid when it comes to taking medicine, does not put up much of a fuss. I am a blessed mom.
My throat is starting to feel a little better. Notice I say “little”. Take that for what it is worth. I have found the one advantage to being sick, weight loss! Down 4 pounds in 3 days! Something about being sick with no appetite, and then throw in not wanting to swallow because doing so hurts like the dickens and there you go, instant diet!
Please pray for your family, we have several “things in the works” that we ask God to intervene and take care of. Thanks!
