So I am driving home after work, just a few miles from home when I pass a car on the side of the road. Did it break down, run out of gas? Who knows.

As I pass by I see a large dog in the car, German Shepard perhaps? Locked in a car, windows rolled up and mind you it was probably at least 75+ degrees outside.

So some stupid idiot has left their car on the side of an interstate with their dog locked inside where anyone with a brain cell or two knows this car is going to get sweltering hot within minutes? That ranks right up there with the cars I see in store parking lots with animals locked inside. I swear I see that and I want to see them arrested and have a judge sentance them to sit in their cars with a fur coat on (heck your pet has one too, so fair is fair!) for at least as long as their animal was inprisoned in that same car.

So yea to the idiot who did this in Hwy 23/74 near the exit to Bryson City, it was me who called the state patrol on you. Your welcome.

Kendra and I did it together and it was alot of fun! We met up with alot of friends and has a good time. Our only snafu was when we started running low on quarters and freaked out because we had no idea who to go to for more, but thankfully we had some very kind hearted customers who put dollar bills back in their pockets and pulled out quarters instead. Heck one guy just handed us a bunch of  quarters and “donated” them to the cash box! Awesome!

At 7:30 the Nationwide team took the field against Farm Bureau Insurance and we won 10-6! Nathan scored another run for the night. He rocks!

The controversy surrounding her is well known and no need to go into it. But what I don’t understand is why now all of a sudden the title is in jeopardy. Okay I know why, a lynch mob kicked up who when Carrie chose to be a Christian over being a liberal PC with a crown.

Yes she made a bad decision with the photographs when she was 17 YEARS OLD! It is not appropriate for a Christian to do, but was she a Christian then? Either way did she realize her mistake and ask forgiveness from GOD??? I am sure she did.

If Mr. Trump chooses to forgive Miss Prejean and allow her to continue her reign in good standing, then its all good. If not I call him a hypocrite.

Just a couple of years ago Miss USA, Tara Conner was found to be an alcoholic and cocaine abuser during her reign and was sent to rehab. Title, and prizes in place. Now thankfully for Miss Conner, she is recovering and doing very well from what I have seen. That was a blessing from God and I agree with Mr. Trump making that call and saving a beautiful young woman from destruction and allowing her to be an example of redemption.

But Miss Prejean is a beautiful young woman who made a bad choice years ago, but who has changed her life for God and who is confidant enough in herself and her faith to stand up for what she believes in, if it is all PC or not.

Also on the band wagon to dethrone her is Shanna Moaker, who is the current Executive Director of the Miss California Pageant and a former Miss USA herself. Ironic that she herself posed completly nude for Playboy.

But I say this, either way with the decision made today by a man who’s own life is what at best I would call “questionable”,  Miss Prejean has already earned a much bigger crown and prize with God than the Miss USA people could even begin to come up with.

Saturday I had the opportunity to yet again see my money be separated from my bank account, yippee! I was already at a number in the “balance” column that I was not comfortable with. So when I pulled into the local repair shop I was hoping for a miracle. You know something along the lines of “Easy fix ma’am, we will have you out of here in a jiffy and because you are a such a hottie and we would enjoy to have some thing pretty to look at while we fix it, no charge!”

Hey a girl can dream right? RIGHT? Stop laughing.

Anyway I was met with the horrid news. The wheel cylinder was busted (thanks to the idiot who pulled out in front of me on a SCOOTER and made me slam on my brakes, thus causing the cylinder to break with the pistons engaged and my rear brake pads to be pressed against the brake drum) And as for the offer to repair for free, well I was having a bad hair day, ya know?

So this morning I head back to the repair shop and 2 hours and $250 bucks later I have a safe car that doesnt emit a horrid grinding sound and is no longer at risk of bursting into flames from metal on metal friction and causing my tire to melt to the pavement. Stellar huh?

My one saving glory was it was Mother’s Day. I really didn’t expect much because after cancelling our shopping trip Saturday (see above if you want to know why) and therefore Nathan could not go shopping for his mommy. but I so love our church and they set up a mini photography studio for pictures of mom’s and their kids. Also I got a gift bag with chocolate roses, and cards.

Then when we got home I mentioned that we needed to vacuume and dust the living room. Bless his heart he said to me “No, mom it’s Mothers Day and moms need to rest. So you go lay on the couch and I will do it” GOD LOVE HIM!

So I went and parked it on the couch with my favorite blanket and out came the vacuume and he cleaned the entire living room himself.

So for Mother’s Day I get chocolate, cards, and a clean living room. But most of all a kid that shows me everyday that I must be doing something right.

And that is the greatest gift of all.

I called Tracie and bribed her to come eat Mexican with us, thankfully she quickly obliged and agreed to meet up after Kelsie’s cheerleading meeting and the place is filling quickly. We get in the door around 6 and by 6:15 there is a line out the door!

I ate a burrito the size of my head, still regretting that decision!

When I recover, I’ll get back with you.  But I will leave you with this thought, redneck gringos celebrating a Mexican holiday is worth the price of admission, especially when they try to sing along with the mariachi band. I am just sayin’

but seriously, can we get a break here Mother Nature? I am beginning to rust, and I am not in Washington State anymore!

This past Saturday I was soaked while watching Nathan’s baseball game. I can’t really complain though because while I was under the umbrella, Nathan was in right field with no cover as he stood out there getting drenched with his team. That kid is tough! We had hoped the dripping Nationwide Insurance team would be comforted with a win over the opposing team, but the lead we held through most of the game was shattered when the other team scored one run over them in the last inning and we lost 8-9.

Honestly it looked as if they kids didn’t give a hoot, they just wanted to get home and out of wet clothes, who could blame them?

Sunday was a exciting day at church where the 7 members of our church who took a missions trip to Guatamala several weeks back and took the service to share the stories of the trip with all of us. The mission was to build homes for the widows and children of 2 remote vilages alongside with a group from a church from Michigan. The stories of the children they played soccer with, the culture they experienced and yes even the illnesses they suffered from ater eating foods their bodies were not prepared for!

Now back to a funfilled work week and more baseball. Another game tonight and one coming up on Friday. Thankfully we have the next 2 Saturdays off so Mommy can sleep in!

Yea right…that never happens!

Yea i said it, the dreaded “d” word.

My internet friend Echo introduced me to a website called SparkPeople.com where for FREE you can sign up for a ton of information and track your progress with both your eating and exersize program. I am totally stoked and hope this is the motovation I have needed! Plus you can join different teams, I am in the Single Parents and North Carolina teams. So far today i have only consumed about 900 calories (my goal is to stay within 1200-1500 per day) and so far have drank 5 of my 8 cups of water.

Then tonight while Nathan is at baseball practice, I am walking the trail at the Rec park with Tracie and the doggies.  Goal is to walk for 1 hour, but I need to see how many calories that will burn.

Walking is about the best exersize I can do right now because I have knee damage from rodeo and well, it is easier!  I just purchased my first pair of walking shoes while at Wally World on my lunch break. And if that is not motovation, while I was there I ran into a guy I knew from about a year ago and he asked for my phone number.

Yea, I think I need to burn some fat baby!!!

First I woke up far too early for a weekend. Just to get Nathan ready for baseball portraits (and dropping 50 bucks i the process) and then up to his game. Only this time I didn’t get to stay for the game (insert broken heart here) and head to work to fill in since the boss is out of town. Headed back at lunchtime to pick him up from the game (his team won 14-10! Way to go boys!) and back to work for the rest of the afternoon. We then hit up Walmart for a few items, for Nathan was new underwear, shorts, shoes,oh and a new Star Wars lego set (thanks to mom guilt about missing the game) and for me wait for it…wait for it….hairspray. Exciting huh?

I realized last night that my kitchen has been seriously neglected over the last few days since I have been working so much. I really need to get in there and pay it some attention before it revolts on me.

I planned on tackling it today after church but come up with the excuse that Nathan and I really needed to go up to Deep Creek today, so we played hookie from our house responsibilities and enjoyed time by the water and in the sun. Now I am tired so the dishes will sit a little longer, unless my dreams come true and the cleaning fairy comes by.

Yea I didnt think it would happen either… but a girl can dream right?

Still working, helping sell modular homes, clone boy is playing baseball and coming up on the End of Grade testing for the 3rd grade.

Single as hell, sucks some days…rocks on others.

New celebrity crush? Bret Michaels and Duane Lee Chapman. Brutally hot!

Gained 10 pounds and can’t get half my jeans buttoned anymore. Ugg.

Just spent Spring Break in Atlanta, loved it!
